In 2011, affiliates of MBSC, LLC purchased Tollgate Village and made a significant investment in the development, as well as the residents and leadership of Thompson’s Station.

MBSC saw in Thompson’s Station a setting with undeniable appeal that was down on its luck coming out of the Great Recession. Tollgate Village had beautiful houses and picturesque landscapes, but was in desperate need of a leader with the vision and the capital to re-start development and fulfill the original dream of making Tollgate one of the premier mixed-use developments in all of Nashville.

When MBSC bought Tollgate, there were unkempt landscapes, a floundering HOA, and empty lots sitting idle from prior developers and builders who had gone out of business. MBSC's significant monetary investment in the infrastructure and amenities at Tollgate and the oversight by its skilled development partners began what has been a transformative overhaul of Tollgate and established it as the thriving community that it is today.

Tollgate’s revitalization has been a significant contributor to Thompson’s Station having the #1 increase in home value in the Nashville Metro area (9.4%) from March 2013 to March 2014.

Tollgate Village’s resurgence has paid dividends for the people of Thompson’s Station. A Tollgate resident, who lived in several locations in Williamson County before moving to Thompson’s Station, highlighted to The Tennessean that the area has maintained its rural charm despite its growth.

Thanks to strong Town leadership and dedicated development partners, Thompson’s Station and Tollgate Village remain one of the premiere destinations in all of Middle Tennessee.
